Transport Resource Planner

Location: Newark on Trent

We’re looking for an organised and proactive Transport Resource Planner to join our clients fast-paced logistics operation in Newark. This is a key role where you’ll ensure drivers, vehicles, and routes are planned efficiently to keep daily operations running smoothly.

What hours will I be working?
You will be working office hours of 08:00 – 17:00 each day. There is a choice of two shift patterns (these do not rotate) either Monday to Friday or Sunday to Thursday which is.

How much will I be paid?
You will be paid £14:00ph

What will I be expected to do?

Create and manage daily and weekly driver and vehicle plans
Allocate drivers, vehicles, and routes to meet operational demands
Manage rotas, holidays, and last-minute changes
Monitor live operations and resolve issues quickly and effectively
Ensure full compliance with Working Time Directive (WTD) and driver hours
Maintain accurate data and reports using TMS and Excel
What skills and experience will I require?

Previous experience in transport planning or logistics coordination
Strong knowledge of driver hours and transport compliance
Confident communicator with excellent attention to detail
Able to remain calm, organised, and decisive in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable using planning systems and Excel
