CAE Optimization Engineer; Mid-Level

Our Client, an EV Manufacturing company, is looking for a CAE Optimization Engineer (Mid-Level) for their Newark, CA location.

• Set up and execute structural optimizations (design space, constraints, objectives, etc.)
• Interpret results and propose manufacturable solutions
• Perform subsystem and full-vehicle level optimization (stiffness, stress, mass)
• Apply multi-domain and multi-material optimization strategies
• Use tools like Opti Struct, NASTRAN, Hyperworks, BetaCAE
• Collaborate cross-functionally to balance performance across attributes
• Provide design guidance during concept phases
• Script in Python or TCL (a plus)

• Bachelor’s (or higher) in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• Minimum 4 years of experience, with 1–2 years in optimization
• Strong FEA fundamentals and CAE optimization knowledge
• Familiar with Opti Struct/NASTRAN, Hyperworks, BetaCAE
• Enthusiastic, quick learner, problem solver, and team collaborator
• Performance assessed via task-based evaluations
