CAE Optimization Engineer
LocationNewark, CA
Work ScheduleOn‑site
Rate$85/hr on W2, based on experience.
ResponsibilitiesThis role supports the client’s design team across multiple domains: NVH, crash, durability, and manufacturing. The engineer will apply advanced CAE optimization techniques to reduce mass, enhance performance, and guide design decisions for current and future vehicle platforms.
- Set up and execute structural optimizations (design space, constraints, objectives, etc.)
- Interpret results and propose manufacturable solutions
- Perform subsystem and full‑vehicle level optimization (stiffness, stress, mass)
- Apply multi‑domain and multi‑material optimization strategies
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to balance performance across attributes
- Script in Python or TCL (a plus)
- Bachelor’s (or higher) in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- Minimum 4 years of experience, with 1–2 years in optimization
- Strong FEA fundamentals and CAE optimization knowledge
- Familiar with Opti Struct/NASTRAN, Hyper Works, BetaCAE
- Enthusiastic, quick learner, problem solver, and team collaborator
- Performance assessed via task‑based evaluations
