About Lucid At Lucid, we are creating exceptional mobility experiences through innovation to drive the world forward. Built on Lucid’s proprietary technology and software-defined vehicle architecture, our award-winning vehicles bring our “Compromise Nothing™” approach to the global automotive market. That means refusing to choose between performance and sustainability, design and engineering, ambition and integrity. In Lucid Air and Lucid Gravity, we have designed and built vehicles that have redefined their segments, combining exceptional range, performance, design, and expansive space in a single experience.
We achieve this through deep vertical integration, with design, engineering, and production happening in-house across our global offices and manufacturing facilities. Our teams come from industries around the world, united by a shared commitment to excellence. By refusing to settle, you can help redefine what’s possible and shape the future of mobility.
We are seeking a passionate & highly motivated Staff Antenna Systems Engineer to lead the development & implementation of cutting‑edge wireless technologies across Lucid's current and future vehicle platforms. The Staff Antenna Systems Engineer will play a pivotal role in defining, developing, and delivering end‑to‑end antenna solutions across the Lucid vehicle portfolio. This individual will lead antenna system development across Cellular, Wi‑Fi, BLE, GNSS, UWB, V2X, AM/FM/DAB, Satellite Connectivity, Automotive Radar & other emerging wireless technologies.
The role requires advanced expertise in 3D electromagnetic simulation, antenna design, standalone antenna characterization, vehicle level testing and optimization, and technical collaboration with suppliers, vendors, internal & external partners.
- Define & design passive & active antenna system architectures for vehicle telematics, infotainment, access control, ADAS, radio (FM/AM/DAB) etc. across multiple wireless technologies.
- Perform 3D EM & circuit level simulations using industry standard tools such as CST Studio Suite, ANSYS HFSS/HFSS 3D Layout, ANSYS Circuit & Keysight ADS.
- Predict antenna performance in both standalone & fully integrated vehicle environments.
- Correlate simulation results with measured data & drive design improvements.
- Lead integration of antennas into vehicle structures such as glass, roof modules, liftgates, side mirrors, front/rear fascias etc.
- Evaluate vehicle‑level impacts on antenna performance caused by body structures, wiring harnesses, trim, glazing, and electronic modules.
- Collaborate with ME, EMC, EE, SW engineering teams to achieve robust wireless over the air performance.
- Conduct RF link budget analysis and wireless system performance assessments.
- Evaluate & mitigate coexistence and de‑sense issues across multiple radios.
- Lead technical discussions & design reviews with antenna suppliers.
- Develop antenna validation plans, test methodologies, analyze test data & implement corrective actions when performance targets are not achieved.
- Present technical recommendations to engineering leadership & executive teams.
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in antenna/RF systems design for automotive/consumer‑electronics or aerospace industries for multiple wireless technologies.
- Advanced expertise in using modelling and simulation tools like MATLAB, CST Studio Suite, ANSYS HFSS, Keysight ADS etc. for antenna stand‑alone simulation & full vehicle integration simulation analysis.
- Experience with RF lab equipment such as VNA, spectrum/signal analyzer, RF signal generators, callboxes etc.
- Experience with prototyping and implementation of complex antenna designs.
