Test Operator
Job Function:
Production
Performs a variety of duties in the set‑up operation of equipment as defined in the work instructions for each process. Reports to Production Supervisor, Newark, CA.
Primary Responsibilities- Test electronics products, components and systems for electrical continuity and function and reliability on a variety of test platforms and static/dynamic stress chambers.
- Determine if the designated products pass all test cycles; collect diagnostic information needed to isolate any product failure.
- Notify the appropriate statistical process control system.
- Inspect product for the correct placement and orientation of untested components.
- Inspect products for any physical damage or contamination.
- Place the appropriate test marks on all electronics that pass test.
- Review production schedules, process procedures and specifications regarding the sequential start‑up operation and control of automated equipment and peripheral hardware.
- Record data required for statistical process control of inventory management.
- Perform sequential shutdown including the cleaning of the automated equipment and peripheral hardware.
- Communicate any process problems with peers, leads, supervisors and/or engineers.
- May be required for certain assembler positions, which could include one or more skillsets.
- Monitor PCB (Printed Circuit Board) assemblies through the process and report discrepancies to Production Supervisor, line lead or Technical Team.
- Inspect finished boards for quality and quantity of work performed.
- Read and follow work instructions and visual aids.
- Check and inspect task results against predetermined standards.
- Identify, communicate, and elevate production issues and problems.
- Demonstrate work methods to new hires.
- Share best practices, assist in minor troubleshooting.
- Actively participate in cross‑training.
- Typically required 1‑year related experience.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Basic manufacturing line knowledge and ability to participate in process.
- Successful completion of company provided training may be required.
Pay Range: $20.00/Hour - $26.00/Hour
