JobPurpose
Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distributing materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Packs, unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods, rejects unsatisfactory items, lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift or box van. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped, posts weights and shipping charges, and prepares goods for final shipment.
NatureOf Duties/Responsibilities
- Loads and unloads material onto or from pallets, trays, racks and shelves by hand weighing up to 60 pounds
- Packaging and unpacking, crating and uncrating, strapping, wrapping materials for shipping
- Functions as primary contact point for customers and internal management for all operational activities related to the shipping department
- Works with customers and suppliers to provide accurate data and proactively follows up for shipping discrepancies resolution in a timely manner
- Responsible for closing work orders and recording shipping orders on the computer system, printing and labeling items and shipping containers with the correct documentation
- Completes shipping documentation (Domestic/International)
- Reports to area supervisor for conformance, inventory or materials reports as needed
- Assists with receiving activities as required; may be assigned other material handler duties
- Works overtime when necessary and practices safety warehouse rules continuously
- Leads and participates in 5S and warehouse continuous improvement activities
- Completes all required training in a timely manner
- Drives a box van or truck and forklift; valid Class C driver’s license and box truck experience required
- Minimum of 4‑6 years of shipping experience, including domestic and international shipping documentation
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to read and communicate in English
- Responsible and flexible
- Knowledge of 5S, continuous improvement, safety warehouse rules
- Oracle knowledge is a plus; basic Excel and MS Word

Salary Range (annual): $52,000 - $56,160 ($25.00 - $27.00 per hour). Actual base pay within this range is determined at the offer stage based on a candidate’s years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is one element of our total rewards package.
