Electro-Mechanical Assembler II (Day Shift) – Newark, CA (with related postings in Mountain View and Fremont, CA as listed). Salary range (annual): $49,920 - $58,240; actual base pay determined at the offer stage based on experience, education, certifications, and skills.
Responsibilities- Performs a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly tasks in support of developmental requirements in pre-production projects, working from rough schematics, blueprints, or oral instructions to construct assemblies, sub-assemblies, and components.
- Operates hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment as needed.
- Initiates process improvements within the assigned area.
- Reads and interprets mechanical drawings/schematics and follows verbal or written instructions or diagrams.
- Meets daily production goals and demonstrates mechanical ability.
- Operates alignment tooling and precision tooling, as well as basic hand tools.
- Builds both basic and complex mechanical assemblies and assists with loading carts and other material handling duties.
- Follows all company and facility policies including quality, safety, conduct, and attendance; performs duties safely and responsibly.
- Performs other assembly-related duties as required.
- Minimum 4-6 years of related production and technical experience.
- High school diploma; college courses preferred.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet strict deadlines under supervision.
- Experience reading and understanding prints and drawings; prior assembly experience is desired.
- Must be mechanically inclined.
