General Purpose

The Area Supervisor is a member of Store Leadership who is responsible for a specific area of the Store and for leading general operations. Responsibilities include opening and closing the Store, supervising Associates, maintaining a clean and organized retail environment, and executing all Company operational processes.

Essential Functions
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment, including building security, cash office security, and customer safety.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and treat all customers and Associates with respect.
  • Represent and support the Company brand, ensuring professional appearance and adherence to the Dress Code.
  • Perform general merchandising duties, including receiving, processing, and merchandising merchandise.
  • Execute loss prevention best practices and protect confidential information and merchandise.
  • Supervise front end operations, including cash register training, shortage control, and productivity standards.
  • Maintain fitting room cleanliness and tag compliance.
  • Carry out administrative duties as assigned by the Store Manager, including payroll and scheduling compliance.
  • Demonstrate competencies such as managing work processes, building talent, collaborating, and communicating effectively.
Qualifications and Special Skills Required
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with point‑of‑sale equipment and applications.
  • Basic mathematical calculation ability.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.
Physical Requirements / ADA
  • Use all Store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PC.
  • Stand, walk, and move around the Store up to 100% of working time.
  • Regularly bend at the waist, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
  • Occasionally push, pull and lift more than 25 lbs.
  • Use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies.
