Mission Linen Supply is seeking a Route Relief Driver – Mid Shift
, 2nd shift (4 PM – 12 AM). The Route Relief will drive and provide services to customers on designated routes, selling additional products. The position is sales‑oriented and paid on commission.
The Route Relief Driver pay ranges from $20.71 to $24.36 per hour; the starting rate is based on education, experience, qualifications, and assignment location.
ResponsibilitiesMaintains a professional appearance in compliance with the company’s standards.
- Calls on prospective customers to solicit new business.
- Informs regular customers of new products or services.
- Drives truck to deliver laundry and/or uniforms to customer’s place of business.
- Collects or picks up rejected or unsold laundry and/or uniforms; loads/unloads truck.
- Develops and maintains the customer’s goodwill by providing assistance, demonstrating interest, and practicing courtesy at all times.
- Conducts business in a professional manner to minimize or eliminate complaints; handles complaints and questions, informing supervisor as needed.
- Listens to and resolves service complaints; maintains inventory and follows company policies on inventory control.
- Collects money from customers, makes change, and records transactions on invoices.
- Obtains customer signature on invoices for pickup or delivery.
- Records delivery and inventory information on daily invoices.
- Cleans inside of the truck and performs routine maintenance.
- Attends training and service department meetings.
- Must have sales and customer service experience.
- Must have a clean driver’s license.
- Must be able to drive a 26’ bobtail truck.
- Must be comfortable loading/unloading the truck with up to 50 lbs of linen daily.
- Candidates must pass a pre‑employment physical (including drug testing) and a background check.
