Orthodontic Assistant – Center for Airway & Facial Development

We are seeking a skilled Orthodontic Assistant to provide exceptional patient support and help create beautiful smiles. The role is based in Newark, DE and involves assisting with orthodontic procedures, preparing patients, and maintaining a clean, efficient work environment.

• Be the best part of patients’ day, creating a welcoming experience
• Prepare patients for appointments and procedures
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments in accordance with infection‑control protocols
• Take diagnostic records, including intra‑oral scanning
• Assist the orthodontist during all orthodontic procedures
• Independently carry out prescribed treatment duties under supervision
• Build relationships with patients and provide education regarding their treatment
• Facilitate communication between the orthodontist and patient
• Perform other related duties as needed

• Minimum 2 years of orthodontic/dental assisting experience
• X‑ray (radiology) certification required
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem‑solving and creative thinking
• Established chair‑side manners
• Adaptability to fast‑paced environment
• Ability to travel if needed
• Valid DE radiology certification (if applicable)

• Pay:
  Up to $25.00 per hour (based on experience)
• Schedule:
  
  Monday to Friday, in‑person work at Newark, DE
