Christiana Care-GoHealth Urgent Care operates urgent care centers across the Delaware/Maryland area. We aim to provide an effortless patient experience, a welcoming culture of care, and seamless integration with market-leading health systems and communities. We are seeking experienced physicians with urgent care or emergency room experience, treating both adult and pediatric patients, to join our welcoming and diverse community of providers in the region as part-time or full-time.

• Examine and treat patients
• Taking patients’ medical histories
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and X-rays
• Make diagnoses and prescribe medications
• Treat minor injuries that may require sutures, splints, or casting
• Record progress notes for follow-up patients
• Educate and counsel patients
• Order and/or carry out therapy with patients
• Give vaccinations, and refer patients to additional care
• All other duties as assigned

Education
Graduate of an accredited medical school required

Work Experience
2-5 years of post-residency clinical experience required;
Minimum 18 months experience in applicable practice setting required;
Adult and pediatric practice experience strongly preferred

Required Licenses/Certifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible by an ABMS member board or AOA specialty board in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine;
Active state medical licensure

Additional Knowledge,

Skills And Abilities

Required
Work experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Room setting;
Applicable office procedures including but not limited to suturing, splinting, etc.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Preferred
Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records;
Ability to be attentive with strong listening skills;
Strong communication and customer service skills
