Bilingual School Psychologist

We are seeking a Bilingual School Psychologist to provide school-based services for a local school district in Newark, Delaware.

• Competitive rates with compensation for direct and indirect time, such as treatment sessions, documentation, meeting attendance, and report writing.
• 1099 Independent contracting position, allowing greater flexibility.
• Consistent on-site and off-site mentorship with Clinical Directors and Team Leaders.
• School-Based Academy:
  Support and community for new School-Based therapists.
• Lending Library:
  Access to a large library of testing tools and assessments for use by therapists.

• Demonstrates positive, collaborative problem‑solving orientation with students, parents, educators, administrators, community members, and colleagues.
• Provides core services including prevention, consultation, intervention, assessment, and counseling adapted to each student’s needs, situation, and setting.
• Conducts comprehensive psychological evaluations.
• Completes written psychological evaluations for individual students in accordance with State and Federal regulations.
• Completes functional behavior assessments, develops behavior intervention plans, and collaborates with teams to gather data and monitor progress.
• Makes appropriate referrals to resources to facilitate educational and behavioral interventions recommended for student success.
• Receives and reviews available developmental information from school and outside resources and recommends research‑based interventions and strategies.
• Accurately administers, scores, and interprets psychological measures of intelligence, personality, behavior, achievement, adaptive functioning, and developmental maturity.
• Delivers crisis response and intervention services to students, families, and staff when needed.
• Maintains case records on all referred students.
• Conducts individual, group, or facilitative therapy for children whose diagnosed problems would benefit from behavior modification.
• Attends case conferences on placement of individual students.
• Serves as a consultant on mental health topics for instructors in the school health program.
• Cooperates with the personnel of community health and social welfare agencies.
• Attends staff, professional, and inter‑agency meetings.
• Assists with in‑service training of school personnel.
• Keeps abreast of new developments and research in the field.
• Other duties assigned by the Supervisor of Special Programs or Building Principal as it pertains to the position of Psychologist.

• DE State License in Psychology.
• Child Abuse, State, and Federal Clearances.

Each year the number of students receiving related services under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) changes and grows. The need for expert clinicians (like you!) to serve these students drives PTS’s mission to deliver holistic, comprehensive, education‑based therapy services. For over 20 years, PTS has partnered with independent contractors that share this mission.
