AECOM’s Water Business Line is seeking a talented Water and Wastewater Project Manager with a passion for water, wastewater conveyance, treatment plant evaluation, design, and construction. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an established career serving as a client-facing project manager on regional and municipal water and wastewater treatment projects. This position offers a unique opportunity to immediately contribute to an established and successful water practice in the Greater Philadelphia Area (Philadelphia, PA, Conshohocken, PA, or Newark, DE) working on a diverse range of technically challenging water projects.
Responsibilities- Lead multi-discipline and complex water and wastewater design projects from the planning through permitting and construction phases, including alternative delivery projects.
- Manage a portfolio of clients with multiple projects, to approved scope, budget, and schedule.
- Perform technical reviews and implement AECOM quality standards.
- Serve as a point of contact internally and externally for projects and clients in the Greater Philadelphia Area.
- Develop and mentor mid-level and junior staff for career development.
- Support business development activities, including technical and cost pricing efforts for proposals.
- Have decision-making authority and direct others in recognizing risk and uncertainty with plans to mitigate and eliminate such.
- Lead business development activities, including pursuing new clients and projects and serving as leader of proposal efforts, including technical and cost pricing.
- Actively participate in water and wastewater organizations through presentations at conferences and volunteering.
Minimum Requirements
- BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Registered Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 1 year.
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records Review.
- 10+ years of related experience in water/wastewater consulting and engineering management.
- Registered Professional Engineer in PA, NJ, DE or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Previous experience leading scope, technical approach and pricing efforts for leading business development activities.
- Previous water and/or wastewater treatment, pumping stations, collection systems and client relations experience.
- Previous experience leading client and public presentations.
- Ability to work collaboratively and motivate staff and project team.
- Previous experience leading design build/alternate delivery projects.
- This position requires travel within PA and nearby states.
- Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

- The selected candidate must be available to work in Philadelphia, PA, Conshohocken, PA or Newark, DE office on a hybrid scheduled basis.
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $ - $ per year.
