Overview

Our client is requesting a Mechanical Engineer with strong technical and project execution skills to support a gas processing operation. In this role, you will take ownership of the complete lifecycle of key mechanical equipment from design and specification through commissioning and ongoing maintenance.

Base pay range: $45.00/hr - $50.00/hr

This range is provided by Hire Resource Staffing. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Core hours: 9 am – 3 pm (central)

Duration of assignment: 6 months, opportunity to convert to direct hire

• Specify, select, procure, commission, and maintain mechanical equipment in accordance with project and process requirements.
• Ensure all pressure vessel and piping designs meet industry codes, including ASME Section VIII, Division 1 and ASME B31.3.
• Collaborate with Process, Electrical, and Controls teams to design, install, and commission new systems safely and efficiently.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for rotating equipment, providing guidance for troubleshooting, reliability improvements, and maintenance planning.
• Support project management functions, including scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, and documentation.

• 10+ years of experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or chemical processing environment.
• Strong understanding of ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code (Section VIII, Div.
  1) and Process Piping (B31.3).
• Demonstrated experience with rotating equipment and other industrial mechanical systems.
• 10+ years of experience as a mechanical engineer including design and/or maintenance of rotating equipment including compressors, blowers and/or mixers, static pressure containing piping and/or vessels.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Experience in project engineering or project management, including cost and schedule control.
• Familiarity with gas processing, oil and gas, or chemical manufacturing.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
