** Job Description
** The Radiologic Technologist (RT) works with Medical Providers and/or Medical Assistants with the examination and treatment of GoHealth Urgent Care patients. This role is responsible for providing a variety of technical procedures and applying prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis for our GoHealth Urgent Care patients. This role is responsible for performing and analyzing patient x-rays and reporting results to Medical Providers.

Additional responsibilities include providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of GoHealth Urgent Care Centers. In a collaborative manner, the Radiologic Technologist will provide support to Medical Providers, Medical Assistants, and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication.

** Job Requirements
**** Education*
* * Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program required
* High School Diploma or equivalent required
** Work Experience
*** Experience in a clinical setting preferred
** Required Licenses/Certifications
*** Basic Life Support (BLS) required at the time of hire (obtained through the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA).
* American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration required.
* Applicable state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist required.
** Essential Functions*
* * Responsible for x-ray services as needed
* Under the direction of the clinical provider, perform x-ray services for patients by applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly.
* Ensure patients are positioned correctly on or in front of equipment and protected during use.
* Will need to push patient in a wheelchair
** Patient Preparation and Rooming*
* * Inform technical staff of patient flow.
* Prepare patients for examination, which includes conducting interviews to verify patient information, record medical history; confirm purpose of visit;
* Perform preliminary physical tests (blood pressure, weight, temperature, etc.) for vital signs and escalate critical cases to the provider as needed.
* Conduct point of care testing as needed (i.e., flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, HCG); and provide patient information to providers.
** Administrative
* ** Responsible for maintenance of medical records and scanning charts to patient files.
* Conduct courtesy call-backs for patient follow-up on care
* Follow operating instructions to perform and document daily controls and calibration of equipment; maintain Quality Assurance/Quality Control logs for equipment troubleshoot breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance, and submit repair tickets as needed

Other responsibilities include:
* ** Medical Team Support**:
Collaborate with the ordering/treating Provider to determine which procedures or views will best assist in accurate diagnoses and treatment. Support clinic operations to keep the center running smoothly.
* ** Patient Care:
** Explaining procedures to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety, and answering their questions.
* ** Patient Positioning:
** Accurately positioning patients and equipment for optimal imaging results.
