Access Coordinator – Gynecology Oncology

Base Pay Range
: $19.84/hr – $29.76/hr

Schedule
  • Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • No weekends or holidays
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient care between the practice, referring physicians, hospital support providers, and patients.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for new patients.
  • Control workflow for new patients by communicating with physicians and handling all urgent/emergent requests.
  • Verify insurance coverage for oncology services and out‑of‑pocket expenses.
  • Provide new patients with all necessary pre‑appointment information, including access to the Navigating Care patient portal and ensuring all forms are completed.
  • Communicate with patients when additional studies or biopsies are required per provider direction.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Perform daily operational duties such as scheduling, registration, pre‑registration, verification, and authorization using Varian (EMR) and Soarian systems.
  • Document all case information in the EMR and Soarian.
  • Adhere to departmental safety rules, reporting any unsafe conditions or violations in a timely manner.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a medical office practice setting (3 years preferred).

Hourly Pay Range: $19.84 – $29.76
