Fitness Specialist - Newark, DE

FOX is seeking a top caliber Fitness Specialist to join our growing team in the Newark, Hockessin, North Wilmington areas. Start your career today and join our fight to abolish ageism. This position is 10-15 hours per week with potential for growth!

Founded in 1998, FOX was the first private practice in the country to provide outpatient rehabilitation services in an in-home setting for the older adult population
. Helping patients restore the quality of life they deserve and desire, our focus is the rehabilitation of lives delivered through evidence-based therapy with innovative and proactive treatment.

The Fitness Specialist Opportunity Entails The Following
  • Patient continuity:
    Patients are prescribed exercise programs to maintain functional levels after discharge from rehabilitation services.
  • Excellent support system: FOX provides significant support for our Fitness Specialists through leadership, clinical education, and an assigned Program Manager.

Requirements
  • Must have one of the following:
    Bachelors in Exercise Science, Kinesiology or Exercise Physiology;
    Certified Personal Trainer through a nationally recognized and accredited organization preferred (i.e., ACSM, NSCA, NASM, ACE, ISSA); or prior experience as a fitness trainer, with willingness to become a Certified Personal Trainer.
  • Routine travel to patient residences and between Senior Living Communities.
  • Expand territory as needed.
  • Travel as needed per practice requirements.
  • CPR Certification.
  • Previous experience working with older adults in a proactive and wellness setting preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
