Multi-physician practice is seeking a professional, compassionate, and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team in Newark, Delaware. This role serves as a key point of contact for patients and visitors, helping ensure a positive experience through excellent customer service, accurate registration, appointment scheduling, and administrative support. The ideal candidate is organized, patient-focused, and able to thrive in a fast-paced medical office environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients, visitors, and vendors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls while providing excellent customer service.
• Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments.
• Register new patients and update demographic, insurance, and contact information in the system.
• Verify insurance eligibility, obtain referrals or authorizations as needed, and collect copays.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all required documentation is completed.
• Assist patients with forms, questions, and general office procedures.
• Coordinate communication between patients, providers, clinical staff, and billing teams.
• Handle check-in and check-out processes efficiently and accurately.
• Maintain front desk organization and ensure patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Support additional administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, faxing, and data entry.
• Help resolve patient concerns or escalate issues appropriately to management.
