Human Resource Manager

Martin Honda Kia Mazda is hiring a Human Resource Manager to support people operations for its dealership in Newark, Delaware. This role combines core HR and payroll responsibilities with benefits administration and compliance work, with a focus on accurate reporting and audit-ready documentation.

, you will oversee payroll processing, manage benefit programs, and handle required filings and reconciliations for a new car dealership environment.

• Human Resources and payroll duties for dealership operations
• Benefits administration across multiple plans and related billing activities
• Compliance support for payroll, retirement, and employee-related tax reporting

• Manage all aspects of payroll
  , with Paychex experience as a plus
• Prepare and maintain payroll journals to book tax and payroll transfer to the GL
• Transmit HSA and 401k files to the appropriate companies
• Administer benefits including health, disability, life, 401k, and workers comp
  , as well as related billing
• Administer FMLA and DE PFML
• Support retirement plan compliance, including a 401k audit for the 5500
• Handle compliance items such as 1095 compliance and 5500 filings
  , plus 401k audits
• Manage tax reporting updates, including adding yearly cost of medical to W-2
• Administer compliance software Compy Auto
• Reconcile schedules and manage employee receivable items
• Administer employee retirement and related contributions and options, including 401k contribution
  , 401k loan
  , Roth
  , and HSA
• Support employee-owned additional benefits

• Minimum 2 years of Human Resources experience in a new car dealership is REQUIRED

• PROVEN TRACK RECORD of staying at ONE location while performing the responsibilities outlined above

• Location: Newark, DE (onsite)
• Salary: USD 65,000 - 85,000 per yearly
