Vice President, Lead Analytics Engineer

Own an enterprise analytics engineering roadmap within JPMorgan

Chase’s Risk Management and Compliance (RM&C) Data Analytics and Intelligent Automation organization.

• Architect and implement end-to-end pipelines on Databricks using Delta Live Tables (DLT),
  Delta Lake
  , and Unity Catalog for governance, lineage, and access controls
• Build ingestion and integration pipelines in Python and Py Spark , consuming JPMC data products into a Lakehouse
  ; use Alteryx and Prophecy as feeder tools where appropriate
• Design a governed self-service layer in Databricks SQL with curated semantic models, intuitive views, and controlled exposure for independent business exploration
• Partner with data product owners and data architects to ensure data governance, including cataloging, lineage, ownership, and entitlements
• Advise on cloud analytics strategy, including onboarding new Databricks users and citizen developers by defining enablement patterns, required entitlements, technical requirements, and governance
• Communicate clearly with senior, non-technical stakeholders and translate data into actionable narratives and decisions
• Deliver executive-ready dashboards and self-service analytics using Tableau and/or Sigma on Databricks-served data
• Leverage AI tooling such as Git Hub Copilot to accelerate development while maintaining independent technical ownership and validating AI-generated code and documentation

• Degree/certification in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field
• 7-8+ years in data or analytics engineering or BI in a regulated environment
• Hands-on independent proficiency in ETL/pipeline design, development, testing, and operations
• Hands-on independent proficiency in Advanced SQL
  , including writing, optimization, and troubleshooting
• Hands-on independent proficiency in Python and Py Spark , with production-grade implementation experience
• Hands-on independent proficiency in Databricks Lakehouse architecture
  , including pipelines,

  , and Unity Catalog
• Hands-on independent proficiency in enterprise BI/visualization with Tableau and/or Sigma
• Strong schema and modeling experience for integrated datasets; practical knowledge of data mesh concepts
• Strong written and verbal communication for senior audiences
• Comfort working in controlled environments, including change management, access controls,

• Demonstrated customer-centric delivery, including requirements negotiation, adoption enablement, and building self-service or citizen-developer platforms
• Demonstrated experience implementing a Databricks strategy in an enterprise environment, including operating model, governance, onboarding and enablement, and scalable adoption patterns
• Experience designing semantic layers and governed BI models, ideally with Databricks SQL
