Director, Distribution and Logistics

We are seeking a strategic individual who will manage the Warehousing/Distribution team and oversees all aspects of the distribution operation to provide best in class support to our manufacturing sites and 3PLs. This person will play a pivital role within our Breast & Skeletal Health organization and have the opportunity to identify and lead projects that drive meaningful improvements with a significant positive impact!

What To Expect:

• Field Service (FS) Order Fulfillment- owns US and International Order-to-delivery process and ensures fast, efficient, and accurate order-to-delivery execution
  • Leads Customer Fulfillment Teams supporting global FS teams and 3rd party FS providers
  • Order processing and Field requests of Service Parts (FRU)
  • Manages special orders for build-to-order part requests
  • Provides 2nd Level support to FSE’s on issues of product availability, part #’s, and logistics
• Logistics & 3PL Management
  • Manages the company’s 3PL relationship to ensure 99%+ order execution performance, inventory control, and exception management
  • Ensure SLA’s and KPI’s are meeting expectations
  • Leverages 3PL tools and reports to ensure we are driving continuous improvement in the end-to-end Order to Delivery process
  • Optimizes the US DC and Depot footprint to ensure customer uptime, agility, and growth
  • Identifies opportunities to optimize freight costs while meeting Customer & Field required ship dates
• Highly engaged in the company’s lifecycle management process to maximize service level at lowest possible inventories
• Aligns with Service Engineering to deliver a comprehensive FRU list including part “chaining” relationships, phase-in/phase-out, and revision control
• Articulates changes to parts requirements using mean-time-before-failure, install base, and other analytics to support the Planning process
• Collaborates directly with senior leadership on the development and implementation of strategies to enhance the value and cost-effectiveness of our distribution model. (Assess in particular the opportunity to centralize our US Distribution for all Breast and Skeletal Health capital products)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or equivalent discipline.

Qualifications

• 10+ years prior experience in Distribution, Transportation, and Customs Compliance
• 3PL Management
• 5+ years of direct P&L responsibility
• 5+ Years of Leadership experience
• Experience with international shipping requirements and process
• Inventory control & Lifecycle management
• Experience in Service Parts business, esp. for Capital products
• Experience in ERP integration and implementation

Travel Requirement:

• This individual would be required to visit our 3rd party warehouse on a weekly basis.

The annualized base salary range for this role is $136,200 to $242,100 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
