Position: Industrial Maintenance Technician 3 (Electro-Mechanical)-Night Shift

Industrial Maintenance Technician 3 (Electro-Mechanical) - Night Shift

Base pay range: $30.00/hr - $35.00/hr (DOE) with $1.25 shift differential.

Hours:

7:30 PM – 6:00 AM. Weekends are required for shutdown maintenance. Overtime or holiday work may be required.

Job Description: Provide maintenance support and repairs to production machinery, computer systems, and facility for a 24/7 manufacturing operation.

Primary functions: Provide production support, troubleshoot technical problems, perform corrective and preventive maintenance to maximize throughput and efficiency. May also perform duties of Maintenance Technician 2 as required.

Key Duties / Responsibilities
  • Production Support (15%):
    • Respond in a timely manner to all maintenance requests on the production floor.
    • Train production technicians in proper set‑up and troubleshooting techniques.
    • Provide training and assistance to production technicians as needed to maximize output and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshooting & Repairs (35%):
    • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, network, and computer hardware/software in the assigned area.
    • Make timely and accurate repairs during production as necessary.
    • Utilize illustrated parts breakdown manuals and operational manuals for repair, modification, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Preventative Maintenance (35%):
    • Inspect machinery daily for potential problems, document issues, and schedule work/repairs.
    • Respond to all assigned maintenance work orders promptly.
    • Perform preventive maintenance activities per the maintenance plan and record them on PM sheets.
  • Administrative (10%):
    • Perform inventory control of parts and equipment used from inventory.
    • Inform supervisor of parts and equipment used.
    • Record maintenance activities using the proper computer application or paperwork.
    • Provide training and coaching to new maintenance technicians and inspect their work.
  • Housekeeping/Other (5%):
    • Perform housekeeping duties required of maintenance staff, including work area, machine, and equipment cleanup.
    • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Education & Knowledge:
    • High school diploma.
    • Associate's Degree, technical certification, or equivalent preferred.
    • Proficient in English communication.
    • Powered Industrial Truck Certification preferred.
  • Experience / Skills / Abilities:
    • 3–5 years of related electro‑mechanical experience.
    • Hands‑on knowledge of industrial mechanical and electrical machines, systems, and industrial controls.
    • Ability to perform Level A, B, & C equipment preventive maintenance.
    • Skill in diagnosing equipment faults and malfunctions.
    • Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
    • Read and understand schematics/blueprints.
    • Computer literacy:
      Windows, Microsoft Office, inventory software, manufacturing software, order processing systems.
    • Strong time‑management, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
    • Interpersonal and communication skills; ability to read, interpret documents, and write routine reports.
    • Intermediate math skills.
    • Service‑oriented personality.
    • Capability to work nights, weekends, and a 12‑hour rotating schedule with overtime duties.
  • Supervisory Responsibility: None.
  • Communication & Contacts (Internal/External):
    • Inform leaders and technicians of pertinent information and communicate with plant personnel and leadership.
    • Communicate with equipment operators to determine problems and necessary adjustments or repairs.
    • Communicate with outside vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
  • Decision Making Scope:
    • Often must make decisions in conjunction with department supervisors to shut down equipment, schedule repairs, and request service.
Additional Information

The pay range for this role is $30.00–$35.00 per hour
