Registered Nurse (RN) - Stroke Treatment & Recovery - Full Time – 36 Hours per Week – Rotating Shifts
Christiana Care Health System is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for its Stroke Treatment and Recovery (STAR) unit, a 29‑bed unit in Newark, DE. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide acute and post‑stroke care, and may include medical overflow patients.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver nursing care to stroke patients and medical overflow patients within the STAR unit.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide direct patient care, monitor patient status, and perform interventions consistent with evidence‑based practice.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and adhere to all regulatory and institutional policies.
- Delaware RN licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Delaware.
- BSN required, or commitment to obtain within three years of hire.
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
- One year of RN experience required; preference for Med‑Surg and acute care experience.
Base pay range: $41.28 per hour – $66.05 per hour.
