Christiana Care is searching for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its Supportive and Palliative Care team working in the Christiana and Wilmington hospitals located in Newark and Wilmington, Delaware respectively. Our interdisciplinary team includes physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurse navigators, chaplains, and dedicated social workers. Ideal candidates will have a primary interest in inpatient consults, follow ups and teaching, with outpatient call coverage.
Interested candidates must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be an excellent team player and educator, and be committed to continuous learning and personal growth. You will help provide clinical leadership and expertise within the palliative care clinical team and identify opportunities to improve the patient and family experience of care and to improve the effectiveness of resource use.
Responsibilities- Inpatient consults, follow ups and teaching within the palliative care team.
- Provide clinical leadership and expertise; identify opportunities to improve patient and family experience of care and resource use.
- Outpatient call coverage as needed.
The schedule will be 4 10-hour shifts per week with occasional on-call and weekend coverage as necessary.

- Masters’ degree from an accredited program for graduate level nursing or Physician Assistant Studies with appropriate specialty certification
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant in the state of Delaware
- Acute Care NP Certification required
- Advanced Palliative Medicine Certification preferred; or attained within 2 years.
- Palliative care experience and experience as a provider preferred.
- BLS required
Hourly Pay Range: $41.00 - $112.75
This pay rate/range represents Christiana Care’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including, without limitation, skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
