Registered Nurse - MICU

The RN – MICU provides direct patient care to critically ill adults in the Medical Intensive Care Unit. This role requires advanced clinical skills, critical thinking, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. The RN will collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver evidence‑based care while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the MICU
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, including vital signs and lab results
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and blood products as prescribed
• Operate and manage advanced medical equipment (ventilators, infusion pumps, monitors)
• Respond promptly to emergencies and perform life‑saving interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, procedures, and recovery expectations
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements

• Current RN license in the state of practice
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with commitment to obtain BSN
• Minimum of 1–2 years of acute care nursing experience (preferably in critical care)
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work 12‑hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

• Prior experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or MICU setting
• Advanced knowledge of ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – required
• Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) – preferred
