Job Description

As a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse), you will report to the Plasma Center Manager and support plasma center operations. Your duties include determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results, and notifying donors of unsuitable test results.

About Bio Life Plasma Services

How You Will Contribute

• Determine donor eligibility, manage informed consent, conduct medical history interviews, perform physical examination, blood testing, and review serological protein electrophoresis (SPE).
• Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including coordinating with the Center Physician and transporting donors to emergency care facilities.
• Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or guidance on medical/technical issues, donor safety, and eligibility.
• Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation by occupational health/ER, following EHS guidance.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations associated with pandemic threats.

What You Bring to Takeda

• High school diploma or equivalent; graduation from a recognized nursing program meeting state requirements.
• Current license or certification in the state of assignment: LPN or LVN.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Completion of FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

Bio Life Compensation And Benefits Summary

Location:

USA – DE – Newark. Hourly Wage: $25.00 – $34.38. The actual wage depends on qualifications, experience, and skills. U.S. employees may be eligible for short‑term incentives and a full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, disability coverage, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, volunteer time off, holidays, well‑being benefits, sick time, paid vacation, and other benefits.
