Food Service Worker – Catering & Dish Room

Contract: 13 weeks (extension and perm possibility)

Shift: Variable | Most shifts 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM

Base pay range: $15.00/hr - $16.00/hr

Job Summary: Per diem Food Service Attendants are needed to support hospital catering and dish room operations. These on‑call roles offer flexible scheduling with opportunities for additional shifts during peak periods. Responsibilities include supporting catering set‑up and breakdown, assisting with food preparation and delivery, and maintaining clean, sanitary, and efficient dish room operations.

• Prepare beverages, salads, sandwiches, boxed meals, and catering items per daily orders.
• Set up, deliver, break down, and clean catering services; maintain equipment and presentation standards.
• Operate dish machines and sanitation equipment; wash, sanitize, and store service ware.
• Monitor dish machine temperatures and sanitizer levels; follow food safety and sanitation protocols.
• Maintain clean work areas; manage trash, supplies, and inventory.
• Assist with cafeteria or patient tray services as needed.
• Provide courteous, professional service; follow safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines.

• Reliable, flexible, and able to handle varied food service duties.
• Prior food service experience; healthcare experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, physically active environment.
