We are seeking an Accountant for our client in Newark, DE, for a 12-month contract. The ideal candidate will have experience in:

• Interfacing with the Delivery Line of Business to ensure accurate charging to capital projects
• Ensuring timely closing of projects to plant in service
• Participating in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, including preparing journal entries
• Providing information to and responding to auditors' requests
• Assisting in FERC quarterly or annual filings
• Performing account reconciliations
• Preparing reports for Regulatory Affairs
• Assisting in depreciation studies
• Responding to data requests from Regulatory Commissions, IRS, and others
• Supporting departmental requirements under Sarbanes-Oxley

The candidate must have experience in the responsibilities outlined above, with a strong understanding of financial processes, regulatory filings, and compliance standards.
