Guest Advocate (Cashier), General Merchandise, Fulfillment, Food and Beverage, Style (T2764) – role  about Target: working at Target means helping families discover the joy of everyday life and delivering guest experiences that reflect our values and culture. Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete your daily tasks.
• Assist guests in a welcoming manner to solve their specific needs.
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store, and specific to your area, to resolve guest issues and improve their experience.
• Thank guests and let them know you appreciate their visit.
• Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices.
• Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality and accuracy.
• Inform guests about current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events.
• Promote and assist with Target Loyalty programs and fulfillment services; help guests enroll and use them.
• Explain and demonstrate how to use Wallet and other features within the Target App.
• Process returns following register prompts; escalate with leadership as needed per Target policies.
• De-escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience in accordance with store policies.
• Provide easy and accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests.
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and assist with stocking during store hours.
• Adhere to safety, ethics, and compliance standards; report hazards and correct where possible.
• Support guest services such as order pick up (OPU), Drive-Up (DU) orders, DU returns, and ensure compliance with relevant laws.
• Assist with Cash Office processes as needed, including management of cash systems.
• All other duties based on business needs.

Basic Requirements and Working Conditions

• Accurate cash handling and, when needed, support for cash office operations.
• Ability to scan, handle, and move merchandise safely; lifting up to 10 pounds and, occasionally, up to 44 pounds with assistance as required.
• Flexibility to pick up shifts to help meet store needs (nights, weekends, holidays).
• Active engagement in picking up shifts and responding to contact attempts; failure to work at least one shift within 5 months may lead to administrative termination.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and environmental conditions; mobility for the duration of a shift.
