Alterations Customer Service Representative
Join David’s Bridal as an Alterations Customer Service Representative (CSR) and help customers achieve the perfect fit for their special events. The CSR delivers a five-star experience by welcoming customers, managing appointments, pressing garments, and communicating alteration options.
Essential Job Functions- Welcome customers with genuine enthusiasm over the phone, chat, and in person, solving conflicts and adapting communication style.
- Use all systems to manage customer flow and deliver a five-star experience.
- Meet service vows, including Prepare, Welcome, Meet Needs & Be There for all customers, and complete operational checklists.
- Provide exceptional service to multiple customers at once, proactively addressing concerns and escalating when necessary.
- Communicate how alterations can perfect a dress and promote all alteration services and personalization options.
- Maintain store standards (clean, organized, promotional readiness) to support a flawless shopping experience.
- Greet and escort all alteration customers to and from appointments, press, steam, and spot clean merchandise, and inspect garments for pristine condition.
- Build long-term relationships to exceed customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Support inventory management by processing special orders, pick-ups, and first quality standards for all merchandise.
- Process transactions accurately at the cash wrap and seek assistance from the Alterations Manager for unresolved issues.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized alteration room and perform duties as assigned by store management.
- Stand, walk, sit, reach for tools, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift up to 10 pounds for extended periods.
- Use peripheral vision, depth perception, and read and operate computer and electronic devices for long periods.
- Perform manual tasks, including using POS terminals, steaming garments, and sewing fittings to David’s Bridal standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1‑2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store.
- Prior sewing experience is helpful.
- Prior experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) system.
