Responsibilities
The selected candidate will work as an Electrical Service / UPS Installation Systems Technician for M.C. Dean’s Service & National Accounts Group. This group operates 24/7 - 365 to support our customers and is known for providing the best customer experience. We offer world-class support and training, fostering a family-oriented culture focused on customer satisfaction, quality, and safety.
This is a regional service position requiring regular travel across the United States. Responsibilities include electrical installations of UPS systems servicing basic electrical equipment and systems, in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, and codes. The candidate will resolve customer electrical problems professionally and safely, maintaining a clean and professional appearance at all times.
- Assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, conduit, cable, equipment, components, and devices based on blueprints and building plans.
- Installing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining EMS systems, smart breakers, electronic controls, devices, panels, sensors, and components.
- Inspecting installation sites and reviewing work orders, plans, and manuals to determine materials and procedures.
- Testing electrical systems and circuit continuity using test devices.
- Diagnosing malfunctions using test equipment and hand tools to locate and correct issues.
- Training and directing workers in installing, maintaining, or repairing electrical systems.
This position requires approximately 60% travel across the U.S. at various locations.
Qualifications
- HS diploma/GED with at least 6+ years of experience in the electrical service industry, including UPS system installation.
Candidate Expectations:
- Successful background check and drug test.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Excellent knowledge of electrical tools and testing equipment.
- Proficiency with smart devices and web-based applications.
- Commitment to high-quality work and safety standards.
- Proper attire including OSHA-approved boots and shirts covering shoulders.
- Punctuality, teamwork, and safety awareness.
Desired Qualifications:
- Journeyman's license or equivalent.
- Additional certifications such as Lift and Aerial Training, NFPA 70E, OSHA 30, UPS installation experience.

Abilities:
- Lifting at least 100 pounds, working at heights up to 60 feet, and climbing ladders and scaffolds.
- Physical ability to walk, climb, lift, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and reach overhead.
- Good vision (corrected if necessary), color vision, hearing, and communication skills in English.
- Ability to recognize issues and apply rules to solve problems.
