- Directly responsible for the department’s financial performance in total fitness services.
- Hit personal & club monthly sales KPI targets.
- Manage personal trainer payroll & expenses.
- Partner closely with the Membership department to ensure fitness assessments are booked and advisors build value on the tour.
- Ensure PT presentations and fitness assessments (VFPs) are structured and standardized per corporate standards.
- Develop lead generation strategies with the team to hit lead targets.
- Set fitness services sales goals for consultants and front‑desk employees.
- Lead all fitness product sales in location.
- Supplement and inventory management; work with Admin Specialist on supplement profit & loss.
- Mark and follow through on all supplement hand‑offs.
- Recruit, hire and onboard personal training staff to keep the staff budget within forecasted levels.
- Participate in performance assessment and termination processes for personal trainers in partnership with HR and management.
- Develop a high‑performing team through coaching, teaching and training.
- Manage performance & KPIs for all fitness staff.
- Develop product knowledge of all fitness products (strength, supplements, PT, etc.).
- Schedule and conduct mentor time with PTs.
- Communicate all department initiatives, standards and directives effectively.
- Create a positive and healthy workplace environment that provides advancement opportunities for staff.
- Create and sustain a culture of service focused on hospitality, caring, welcoming and fun.
- A passion for fitness and demonstrated knowledge of fitness equipment and wellness strategies.
- Strong communication (oral and written), interpersonal and relationship‑building skills.
- Strong MS Office skills and ability to learn new technologies.
- Ability to motivate and influence all levels of the organization.
- Time management as a strength.
- Related university degree (Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology or Kinesiology) or equivalent experience (strongly preferred).
- At least 2 years of related sales experience.
- At least 2 years in the fitness industry.
- 2+ years of leadership and people‑management experience, including proven success in coaching and motivating teams and individuals to achieve goals across multiple locations.
- Current CPR & First Aid, maintained through employment.
- Current PT certification within 60 days of employment (NASM, NSCA, ACE, ISSA, NFPT).
This is a full‑time exempt position with varying hours of work. The role frequently requires long hours and night/weekend work, and may require working on the last day of the month.
Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position is responsible for the leadership, interviewing, hiring, scheduling and performance management of all Personal Trainers in the club.
