Blood Bank of Delmarva is seeking a dedicated Bloodmobile Driver for the Newark, DE area. The position involves driving a 26‑ft box truck or other bloodmobile vehicles to and from blood drives throughout New Castle, Kent, and Sussex Counties in MD & PA, preparing equipment, and assisting with blood collection activities.

• Drive blood bank vehicles safely and ensure timely arrival at blood drive locations.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down blood drives.
• Prepare equipment and supplies, load/unload them onto transport vehicles, and maintain supplies in a neat, regulatory‑compliant order.
• Assist with donor care activities, including donor registration, ensuring a safe, efficient mobile blood draw operation.
• Maintain vehicle condition, perform inspections, minor upkeep, and report maintenance needs.
• Complete DOT logs and reports as required.
• Exemplify BBD’s Core Values and meet or exceed customer service expectations.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Valid CDL A or B driver’s license.
• 2+ years driving 26‑ft box trucks or other large vehicles requiring a Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC), Form MCSA‑5876.
• Knowledge of large‑vehicle operation, basic preventive maintenance, and ability to read and interpret mechanical and technical procedures.
• Ability to prepare basic vehicle maintenance reports and identify mechanical failures to reduce downtime.
• Proficiency in entering donor information into the computer system.
• Excellent customer service skills, ability to multitask, and work a variable schedule.

• Morning, Evening, and Weekend shifts are required. Schedule released 2 weeks in advance.

• $1.50 per hour on weekends.
• Full benefits package.
