Job Overview
Logistics Coordinator – Newark, DE. 18‑month contract.
Base pay range: $24.00/hr – $27.00/hr.

The Logistics Coordinator will report to the Outbound Logistics Supervisor and play a key role in coordinating shipments, managing documentation, and collaborating across manufacturing, finance, and customer teams to ensure timely and cost‑effective delivery of complex products.
Responsibilities- Work with third‑party suppliers and carriers to align drop shipment deliveries to installation sites, meeting time, delivery, and cost goals.
- Execute import/export duties for international and domestic shipments.
- Monitor timing of customer requirements, update tracking database, and process ticket requests.
- Interact with manufacturing cross‑functional groups regarding the preparation and status of finished goods for customer shipments.
- Document physical state of units prior to loading on transportation carriers for specialized equipment shipments.
- Perform required record transactions for customer shipments in Oracle.
- Create all required documentation for shipment in compliance with applicable federal and state laws.
- Assist in organizing delivery plans for large customer sites.
- Partner with finance to submit required month‑end logistic documentation.
- Compile and organize digital and paper files related to site installation shipments.
- Process and code logistics invoicing in a third‑party payment system.
- Perform other duties as needed for effective department operation.
- Create and process bills of lading for shipments.
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- 5–7 years of relevant logistics experience required.
- Experience using an electronic inventory management system;
Oracle strongly preferred. - Experience shipping technically complex products domestically and internationally.
- Preferred experience in freight forwarding.
- Ability to interact respectfully and effectively with managers, customers, and vendors at all levels.
- Experience creating compliant logistics documents such as bills of lading.
- Solid understanding of logistics and shipping documentation requirements.
- Preferred experience working within a Foreign Trade Zone.
- Experience working with transportation carriers/dispatchers.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong self‑starter and team player.
- Strong drive for results and continuous improvement.
