Our client is a long‑standing NJ‑based transportation organization that is looking to add a Payroll Accountant. They seek an experienced professional with a background in general accounting and full‑cycle payroll who can work effectively in a team and independently.

$35/hour – $40/hour

The Payroll Accountant must have strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with 3–5 years of experience in month‑end close, accruals, fixed assets, and payroll processing using Oracle. The ideal candidate is hardworking, comfortable meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment, and has experience with Oracle.

• Full‑cycle payroll processing and work with payroll tax (multi‑state).
• Payroll deductions, adjustments, and weekly reporting.
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
• Perform input, maintenance, and review of finances and expenses.
• Assist with payroll accounting.

• Payroll and accounting experience.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Comprehensive experience working with Oracle.
• Multistate payroll and payroll tax experience.
• General accounting experience, including journal entries, month‑end, and financial reporting.

• Experience with ERP software and ADP.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or a related field is a plus, but not required.
