Overview
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Full-Time ICU Nocturnist to join the Critical Care Service Line at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center (NBIMC).
RWJBarnabas Health, the largest integrated healthcare system in New Jersey, is seeking a board-certified/eligible Intensivist to join a full-time dedicated Nocturnist role at NBIMC.
This 653-bed qua ternary care regional teaching hospital offers comprehensive services, including robust Cardiac Care. It features the only certified Lung Transplant program in the state and is among the nation’s top 15 heart transplant centers.

About Position- Care provided in an exclusively inpatient setting (24-bed adult medical and surgical ICU), a multidisciplinary, collaborative/closed ICU model
- Management of all hospital emergencies, including rapid response teams, codes, and procedures
- Focus on quality, safety, and evidence-based medicine
- Teaching fellows, residents, students, nursing staff, and other ICU personnel
- 12-hour night shifts
- Deliver critical care in an inpatient setting as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Lead management of emergencies and participate in ICU rhythm, lines, and procedures as appropriate
- Contribute to quality and safety initiatives and evidence-based practice
- Educate and supervise learners and ICU staff
- BC/BE in Critical Care Medicine
- Well-versed in critical care procedures
- Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of New Jersey
- Team player comfortable with collaboration among physicians
- Interest in joining a multidisciplinary, teaching, and collaborative environment
