Urgent Care Physician; Part-time

Overview

We are seeking experienced Physicians with urgent care or emergency room experience, treating both adult and pediatric patients, to join our welcoming and diverse community of providers in the surrounding region. This position is part time or full time
.

Urgent care Physicians provide a wide variety of clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains and minor infections.

• Education:
  
  Graduate of an accredited medical school required
• Work Experience:
  
  2-5 years post-residency clinical experience required; minimum 18 months experience in applicable practice setting required; adult and pediatric practice experience strongly preferred
• Licenses/Certifications:
  
  Board Certified or Board Eligible by an ABMS member board or AOA specialty board in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine;
  Active state medical licensure
• Additional
  
  Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:
  
  Experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Room setting; operative procedures including suturing and splinting
• Preferred:
  Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records; strong listening, communication and customer service skills

• Examining and treating patients
• Taking patients’ medical histories
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and X-rays
• Diagnosing and prescribing medications
• Treating minor injuries requiring sutures, splints, or casting
• Recording progress notes for follow-up
• Educating and counseling patients
• Ordering and/or carrying out therapy with patients
• Giving vaccinations and referring patients for additional care
• All other duties as assigned
