Consultant Psychiatrist – CAMHS Community North Team.

We are seeking a dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Community North CAMHS Team within Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. This full‑time post in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry offers the chance to work alongside a highly skilled multidisciplinary team and 15 consultant colleagues across CAMHS. You will play a key role in delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based care to children and young people across Newark, Sherwood, and Bassetlaw.

- MRCPsych and CCT or CESR in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (or within 6 months of eligibility).

- Provide psychiatric expertise in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for complex cases.
- Offer clinical leadership and consultation to the multidisciplinary team.
- Participate in the CAMHS Consultant on‑call rota (currently 1 in 10).
- Contribute to service development and business planning for CAMHS.
- Manage, appraise, and supervise junior medical staff.
- Ensure compliance with Working Time Directive and New Deal requirements.
- Undertake administrative duties associated with patient care.
- Accurately record and submit clinical activity data.
- Attend and contribute to the Trust's academic programme and CPD activities.
- Maintain GMC registration, Section 12(2) approval, and professional standards.
- Provide consultation to the MDT on assessment, diagnosis, pharmacological treatment, Mental Health Act application, and management of complex cases.
- Offer clinical leadership and contribute to emergency cross‑cover arrangements.
