Assistant/Associate Professor of Medicine/ Pulmonary/Critical Care (Nocturnist)
Rutgers, New Jersey Medical School is seeking a full‑time Board Eligible or Board Certified Pulmonary Critical Care physician to join the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine as a critical care nocturnist. The position includes patient care, teaching, and scholarship. Research support is available for qualified candidates. The successful candidate will be a physician who is clinically focused on exceptional patient care, who can work effectively and collaboratively with colleagues and patients, and who has a significant interest in academic medicine, including teaching fellows, residents, and medical students.
Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Minimum Education and Experience
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine
Certifications / Licenses
- State medical license (New Jersey)
- Required immunizations, including seasonal influenza during flu season
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Expertise in pulmonary and critical care therapeutics
- Strong teaching and mentoring skills for residents, fellows, and medical students
- Capacity for scholarly activity, including research and publication
- Effective communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
