The Department of Anesthesiology at Rutgers, New Jersey Medical School, seeks to recruit a qualified General Anesthesiologist for a full‑time position as Assistant Professor, Non‑Tenure‑Track (Assistant Professor, Non‑Tenure‑Track). The role includes on‑site anesthesia services, intraoperative and didactic teaching of residents, participation in faculty development, collaboration with surgical services, and research activity. The effective appointment date is July 1, 2025.
Responsibilities- Provide on‑site anesthesia services to adult patients at University Hospital (Main Operating Rooms, Same‑Day‑Surgery ORs, Doctor’s Office Center, Stone Center, and other off‑floor locations).
- Provide intraoperative and didactic teaching of residents and other educational activities that advance division, department, and institutional goals.
- Participate in divisional, departmental, and institutional initiatives and activities.
- Participate in faculty development and skill/knowledge acquisition activities.
- Promote research that advances the discipline both academically and clinically.
- Complete medical records in accordance with NJMS and hospital policies within 7 days of service.
- Submit charge documentation within 14 days of service.
- Complete Medicare time studies or other required documentation for programs under the letter.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Chair.
- Medical doctorate (MD/DO) or equivalent, and be Board Certified or Eligible in Anesthesiology.
- Holder of or eligible for medical licensure in New Jersey.
- Eligible for employment under H1B visa is welcome.
