Who You AreThe Spanish Teacher’s responsibilities include teaching oral and written Spanish, tailoring lesson plans to individual students or classes, and setting homework and assessments. You should be passionate about the Spanish language and culture. Outstanding Spanish teachers are energetic and able to inspire passion for the language in their students.
The Role- Develop lesson plans and curricula based on the needs of individual students.
- Provide conversational classes where pronunciation and important words and phrases are taught.
- Teach writing and Spanish composition classes.
- Conduct research on teaching methods, materials, and language games that can be used in class.
- Schedule and prepare students for oral and written examinations.
- Monitor student progress by writing up reports and grading assessments.
- Organize feedback sessions with students and their parents if applicable.
- Provide suggestions for further learning and schedule intervention sessions with struggling students.
- Teach students about Spanish culture, which may include festivals, traditional food, and social conventions.
- Organize fun events where students can showcase their Spanish language skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Salary range: BA $64,570 – $92,200 / MA $65,820 – $93,450
- Term of Employment: 10.5 Months
