Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in Computer Science

​The Computer Science Department at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) invites applications for a tenure‑track faculty position starting in Fall 2026. Exceptional candidates will be considered in all areas of Computer Science, but priority will be given to those who can build synergies in the area of Cybersecurity, defined broadly. We aim to hire at the rank of Assistant Professor, but exceptional candidates at higher ranks will also be considered.

Employment: Full‑time

• Faculty are expected to contribute to undergraduate and graduate instructional programs, pursue external funding, and publish in top conferences and journals.
• A faculty member may be called upon to teach at a satellite graduate program location in Jersey City, New Jersey.

• Ph.D. degree by Summer 2026 in a relevant discipline and outstanding academic credentials demonstrating ability to conduct independent world‑class research and attract external funding.
• At the university’s discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be waived if the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.

In compliance with the NJ Pay Transparency Law, the salary range for the assistant‑level position is $85,000–$120,000 and the associate‑level position is $100,000–$120,000. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses or other items.
