Qualifications and Requirements

• An appropriate New Jersey Department of Education Standard Certificate, Certificate of Eligibility (CE), or Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS).
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (preferred).

Basic Functions and Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a program of study tailored to students' needs.
• Evaluate student progress and report on it.
• Instruct students in citizenship, communication skills, and general curriculum elements.
• Provide individual and group instruction adapting to students' abilities.
• Maintain proper use of textbooks and materials.
• Establish and uphold standards of student behavior.
• Select and requisition instructional materials and maintain inventory records.
• Develop instructional plans and organize class time effectively.
• Participate in professional development activities.
• Supervise out-of-class activities as required.
• Coordinate work with aides and paraprofessionals.
• Identify student needs and collaborate with staff to address them.
• Communicate with parents and staff regarding student progress.
• Maintain attendance and business records.
• Participate in student activities and faculty committees.
• Relate subject matter to other disciplines and maintain communication with students and parents.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Salary, Terms & Affiliation

• Salary Range: $67,000 - $111,625
• Employment Period: 10 months
