KIPP New Jersey, a free, open‑enrollment college‑preparatory public school network, is seeking a motivated and dedicated Elementary School Teacher for the 2025‑2026 school year in Newark’s South Ward. • Create, internalize, modify, and prepare lesson plans in accordance with the academic curriculum, working closely with the grade‑level team
• Use data to responsively teach to mastery of academic skills
• Work closely with students, families, and colleagues to create an environment supportive of student progress
• Reinforce a firm foundation for all classes and uphold classroom management techniques
• Help with diagnostic and progress monitoring testing across the school
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to ensure all students meet the learning objectives
• Update student performance trackers and use data to help guide lesson plans
• Participate in school, departmental, and parent meetings
• Participate in school events, activities, and programs both during and outside of regular class instruction hours

• Hold a valid teaching certification in New Jersey – or –
• Meet the GPA requirement (see details below)

• If you graduated after September 2016:
  • Have a bachelor’s or master’s GPA ≥ 3.0 – OR –
  • Have a bachelor’s or master’s GPA between 2.75 and 3.0 AND demonstrate that you have passed all required Praxis exams with a +10% passing score (super scores)
• If you graduated before September 2016:
  • Have a bachelor’s or master’s GPA ≥ 2.75

• Competitive salary of $65,000–$103,000+, plus up to $7,000 in performance‑based pay
