Special Education Teacher – Newark, NJ
$50 / hr | Full-Time | 2025–2026 School Year
Connected Health Care is hiring a Special Education Teacher to support students in a forward-thinking school district in Newark, NJ. This is an excellent opportunity for passionate educators who want to make a difference and grow professionally in a dynamic, student-first environment.
Position Details- Location : Newark, New Jersey
- Hourly Rate : $50 / hour
- Schedule : Full-time, onsite only
- Contract Dates : Full 2025–2026 school year
- Setting : Resource (RSP) or self-contained (SDC) classrooms
- Grade Levels : Elementary, middle, or high school—based on experience and fit
- Deliver individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Support the development of academic, behavioral, and social-emotional skills
- Lead or participate in IEP meetings and team planning sessions
- Valid New Jersey Special Education Certification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education or a related field
- Strong communication and classroom management abilities
- School-based experience preferred
