Pay- Base pay: $35,000.00 – $42,000.00 per year

Who You AreAs an instructional floater, your key role involves providing support to classroom instruction seamlessly in the absence of the lead teacher or as needed throughout the day. We’re looking for individuals who embody enthusiasm, warmth, and experience, and can smoothly adapt to different class assignments throughout the day. Proficiency in both oral and written communication is essential for fostering productive interactions with students, parents, and colleagues.
It’s vital to maintain a comprehensive understanding of and adhere strictly to all district policies and requirements.
- Valid New Jersey Substitute License or a valid New Jersey teacher certification.
- Experience with classroom instruction support.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Understanding and adherence to district policies and legal requirements.
- Implements instructional plans prepared by the teacher, or creates them when in long‑term placement in accordance with the district curriculum.
- Maintains a classroom climate conducive to learning and establishes reasonable rules of conduct encouraging self‑discipline and responsibility.
- Adheres to the policies and procedures of the Board of Education and Administration.
- Protects students, equipment, materials, and facilities, taking all necessary precautions.
- Maintains required records per law, district policy and administrative regulations.
- Serves as a positive role model, demonstrating professionalism, a positive attitude, respectful communication, and professional appearance.
- Communicates effectively with parents when needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned by administration or required for the effective implementation of district goals, objectives, programs, and policies.
