The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, School of Arts and Sciences‑Newark, Rutgers University‑Newark (RU‑N), is seeking part‑time instructors (Lecturer/Coadjutant) for the Spring 2026 semester to teach computer science courses. The successful candidate will cover the full range of duties associated with teaching, including, but not limited to, preparing course material; creating and posting a course syllabus; presenting material during the assigned course times;
holding office hours and providing appropriate out‑of‑class time for students; responding to student e‑mails; conducting and grading assessments of students through assignments, exams, and other means, in a timely manner; and submitting final grades. Course appointments may require instruction during the day, in the evenings, on weekends, off‑campus, online, hybrid, remotely, or any combination of these based on the academic needs of the department/unit.
