Fuquons Federation of Martial Arts is looking for an energetic and passionate Aftercare Enrichment Instructor to join our team in Newark, NJ! This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire and empower young students by teaching DANCE, STEP, KARATE, SPORTS ATHLETICS, CHEERLEADING, CROCHETING, LEGO Building and Creative Construction, and other engaging enrichment activities through movement in a fun, structured aftercare setting.
LOCATION:
NEWARK, NEW JERSEY
PAY: $20 PER HOUR
HOURS- MONDAY-THURSDAY: 3:15PM-5:15PM
- FRIDAY:12:00PM-5:00PM (MANDATORY)
START DATE:
IMMEDIATELY
AGE GROUPS: KINDERGARTEN THROUGH 8TH GRADE
Responsibilities:- Lead engaging aftercare enrichment sessions incorporating fun activities demonstrating fundamentals, fitness, and character development
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of students during aftercare programming
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote discipline, focus, and teamwork
- Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment that encourages student participation
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and program coordinators regarding student progress
- Assist with homework help or quiet activities during designated downtime periods
- Uphold and model the values and standards of Fuquons Federation of Martial Arts
- Experience in teaching an above skillset providing instruction, youth education, or aftercare/childcare programs
- Strong classroom management and youth supervision skills
- Ability to engage and motivate children of varying ages and skill levels
- MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A REQUIRED BACKGROUND CHECK
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to a consistent schedule
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- MUST MAINTAIN A SAFE, STRUCTURED, AND POSITIVE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT.
- MUST BE COMFORTABLE INDEPENDENTLY SUPERVISING AND LEADING AT LEAST 20 SCHOLARS.
- MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR THE ENTIRE WEEKLY SCHEDULE, INCLUDING FRIDAYS FROM 12:00PM-5:00PM.
