Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity to advance your career in electrical engineering? Asplundh Electrical Testing (AET) is seeking highly skilled and motivated Relay Technicians, Sr. Relay Technicians, and Field Engineers to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical and engineering support during fieldwork, as well as preparing internal and client reports. Regional and Travel opportunities open.
Responsibilities:
Install, adjust, and troubleshoot relays with technical capabilitiesSupport the sales effort by assisting with labor estimates and job walksRemain up-to-date with all safety and technical training; attend company sponsored safety training when requiredCollect field data and perform arc flash studies, coordination studies, and short circuit analysisProvide technical insight concerning substation systems and electrical power systemsAdhere to all company, industry, and client safety protocols and standards ensuring our “Safety First” priorityInstall, troubleshoot, commission, test, and maintain protective relaying equipmentCalibrate and perform functional tests on microprocessor-based protective relays for high-voltage substationsConduct end-to-end relay testing using Doble Pro Test software or Protection SuiteMinimum Qualifications:Must be 18 years of age or olderProfessional skills in protective relay logic, protection schemes, write-ups, and documentation of test plans related to full commissioning substationsKnowledge of Doble Pro Test or Protection SuiteExcellent written and verbal communication skills together with a proven commitment to safety and customer serviceNETA certification is strongly encouragedEducation & Experience:Minimum of 6+ years of hands-on experience installing, maintaining, testing, and repairing protective relays in high-voltage substationsExperience installing, maintaining, testing, and repairing circuit breakers, transformers, switch gear, and similar equipmentTwo-year degree or technical school graduate; or relative field experienceBenefits
