Electrical Engineer - Team Lead

We’re looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer – Project Manager to design and manage electrical projects in the transportation industry, including low/medium voltage distribution, emergency power, highway lighting, CCTV, access control, public address systems, movable bridges, and tolling infrastructure.

• Plan and distribute discipline‑specific work, and ensure adherence to schedule and budget.
• Assist in marketing, proposal generation, scope of work, and effort estimation.
• Oversee completeness and accuracy of project team’s technical discipline work, guiding and mentoring toward objectives.
• Coordinate technical aspects with client counterparts and teaming partners.
• Collaborate with other disciplines on multi‑discipline projects.
• Recruit, hire, develop and retain staff; manage performance reviews, compensation, succession, schedules, and time‑cards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience.
• PhD in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience.

• Task lead experience for power and communications infrastructure design, including street lighting, traffic signals, area lighting, pedestrian lighting, aesthetic lighting, and other electrical systems.
• Experience working closely with multi‑discipline projects across HNTB offices.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
